Here's a WIP.  I decided I didn't like my previous sculpt and I got some really awesome tips, so I scraped my work and am starting fresh.  I put together a the gauntlet in separate pieces so that when I sculpt it's a little bit cleaner.  Going to try and apply all the advice I got!

Here is my first attempt at the sculpt for the Gauntlet.  I'm a little rusty and still have trouble coming up with solutions for the back, but I feel that given time and practice I'll learn to be a little more inventive.  Plus I get lots of input and support to keep pushing my art!

I'm going to be trying to post my wip more regularly with this next piece, since I'm working zbrush.  I'll probably create a proper artstation for portfolio only pieces once I've finished my zbrush pieces.

Skull Axe done in 3DS max, handpainted diffuse texture.  I'll be doing one more based on a simple pencil sketch to try and apply what I've learned from these past three.  After that I'm going to try my hand at zbrush, those will probably take me a little longer since I'm out of practice.

The hardest part was making up what goes on the back, while the easiest part was painting the leaves.  Avery is acting as my art director and wanted the ladybug to be like an encrusted jewel on the acorn instead of the little acorn dot.

I did this texture this week.  I will work on highlights and 3/4's ratio more with the next texture piece I do.  I am getting faster and knocking these out though, and I think I'm getting better at this.  :)

Here's my first texture for the week!  I had a lot of fun on this one, and it was the fastest texture I've done yet, which makes me feel really awesome.  Looking forward to doing the next piece.

Okay, I gave myself a deadline for my xenogears diorama.  I learned a lot about hand painting on this one.  The idea behind this was to paint in lighting and learn how to create 3 Dimensionality without bump maps and other helpers.   I'll come back to it later after I finish some other projects.
